1st annual Capon Springs Volunteer Fire Rescue Best Ball Golf Tournament

The 1st Annual Capon Springs Volunteer Fire Rescue Best Ball Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the beautiful Capon Springs Resort in Capon Springs, West Virginia. The cost is only $60.00 per person ($240.00 per foursome) and that includes a door prize ticket, light breakfast, drinks, snacks throughout the day and a late lunch after the tournament. There will be cash prizes for the top three teams, prizes for closest to the pin on 3 holes, and also a longest drive. We will be playing Best Ball golf which we know it where Each golfer hits his own ball throughout the round but does not necessarily hit subsequent shots from where his ball has come to rest. Rather, the ball best hit by the group will determine the location from where everybody will hit next, and so on. Only one ball – and thus one score – counts per hole for each team and the team with the lowest total score for the round wins the golf tournament. The Golf Course at Capon Springs and Farms is a 9-hole regulation course with tees suited for golfers of all abilities. The well-groomed layout is a par 34 which measures 2,888 yards from the back tees and features tree lined fairways with no water hazards on the course. Players who signup under individual will be filled on teams who need players. Registation opens at 8 a.m. First Team will Tee off at 9 a.m.
