EXCITING NEWS!!!We are pleased to announce that we have completed the bidding process, and have placed an order for our new ambulance. With an expected delivery in Q3 2027, this ambulance will help us continue to provide our community with top quality emergency medical care for years to come.While this ambulance is being partially funded by a FEMA grant, we still have to come up with a significant portion of the funds, so please keep an eye out for new fundraisers.
30 Years of EMS
For three decades, having emergency services and an ambulance on-site has been a true game-changer for our local community.
Before we established these services in the mid-nineties, the wait for medical assistance could exceed 30 minutes—a critical window when every second counts. By maintaining help in such close proximity for the last 30 years, we have been able to provide immediate intervention, saving numerous lives and providing peace of mind to everyone who visits or calls this area home.
As we look toward the future with our new ambulance, we are proud to continue this long-standing legacy of rapid, reliable care.
Funding
A common question we get is: "How is our ambulance service funded?" It’s a great question, and the answer shows just how much this service relies on the strength of our community.
Where the Funding Doesn’t Come From
It might surprise you to know that we do not receive funding from the county budget, nor do we receive a portion of the county ambulance fee. While the County is a vital partner and graciously covers the insurance for our ambulance, the day-to-day costs of being ready to respond fall on us.
How We Make It Work

Soft Billing: This is a patient-friendly way to recover costs. We bill your insurance provider for the service, but we accept whatever they pay as payment in full. This means our local residents aren't stuck with a massive out-of-pocket bill during an already stressful emergency.
Community Donations: You are the heartbeat of this service. Direct donations from neighbors, local businesses, and guests are what allow us to bridge the gap between insurance reimbursements and the actual cost of high-quality medical care.
The Power of Partnership: We don't do this alone! We have an incredible partnership with Company 10 (Hampshire County Emergency Services Agency). They provide our Advanced Life Support (ALS) care, and advanced services.

Beyond the Vehicle
In addition to the $300,000 purchase price, we are also managing the additional operational costs required to get this service off the ground. This includes essential expenses like:
-Advanced life-support medical equipment-Onboard communication systems -Cot and Power Load system-Initial stocking of life-saving supplies-Licensing and certification fees
We are incredibly grateful for the grant support that has gotten us this far, and we are working hard to cover the remaining balance and setup costs to ensure this ambulance is ready to save lives the moment it hits the road.
